We are open 2pm to 6.15pm every Friday
Please note the following important points:
- Friday Supervised Study is open to students of all years (1st year to 6th year).
- You do not have to be a member to attend.
- First preference will be given to ‘The Carlow Academy’ existing members
- Students can attend one session or both sessions each Friday
- However places must be reserved via email/text at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability as places are limited
- Places are allocated on a first come first served basis.
- Please inform us at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend otherwise a cancellation fee of 10 euro will apply to the next time you wish to avail of the Academy facilities.
Friday Study Sessions and Pay As You Go Sessions (for non members)
- Friday: 2:00pm-4:00pm Study Session
- Friday: 4:15pm-6:15pm Study Session
- Friday: 2:00pm-6:15pm Study Sessions (includes a 15 minute break from 4:00pm-4:15pm)
Please pay the Supervisor on duty on arrival as they will take your details and then they will assign you a seat for the required session(s).
Please try to have the exact amount due and ideally notes only and no coins if possible ☺
What we provide:
- Supervised Study at all times by all qualified secondary school teachers.
- No mobile phones- all students will place their phones in our very own ‘mobile home unit’ area during all sessions in the pouch number that corresponds with their desk number.
- Computer area and canteen area for breaks (including a bean bag chill out area)
- An educational based library of resources for students to use on site; students must return the resources when finished using them so they can be shared with others
