{"id":25108,"date":"2020-06-25T16:33:29","date_gmt":"2020-06-25T16:33:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/carlowacademy.ie\/?page_id=25108"},"modified":"2022-06-03T12:31:38","modified_gmt":"2022-06-03T11:31:38","slug":"saturday-study","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/carlowacademy.ie\/saturday-study\/","title":{"rendered":"Saturday Study Sessions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\"><strong>We are open 10am to 2.15pm every Saturday \u00a0<\/strong><\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong>Please note the following important points<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Saturday Supervised Study is open to students of all years (1<sup>st<\/sup> year to 6<sup>th<\/sup> year).<\/li><li>You do not have to be a member to attend.&nbsp;<\/li><li>First preference will be given to <strong><em>\u2018The Carlow Academy\u2019<\/em><\/strong> existing members<\/li><li>Students can attend one session or both sessions each Saturday<\/li><li>However places must be reserved via email\/text <strong>at least 48 hours in advance<\/strong> to ensure availability as places are limited<\/li><li>Places are allocated on a first come first served basis.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Please inform us <strong>at least 24 hours in advance<\/strong> if you are unable to attend otherwise a <strong>cancellation fee of 10 euro<\/strong> will apply to the next time you wish to avail of the Academy facilities.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">Saturday Study Sessions and Pay As You Go Sessions (for non members)<\/mark><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>Saturday<\/strong>:<strong> 10:00am-12:00pm Study Session\u00a0 <\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Saturday<\/strong>:<strong> 12:15pm-2:15pm Study Session\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Saturday<\/strong>:<strong> 10:00am-2:15pm Study Sessions (includes a 15 minute break from 12:00pm-12:15pm) \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Please pay the Supervisor on duty on arrival as they will take your details and then they will assign you a seat for the required session(s). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong><em>Please try to have the exact amount due and ideally notes only and no coins if possible<\/em><\/strong> &#x263a;<em> \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/em><\/mark><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">What we provide:&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-ee6ecc6b-2921-405e-bfb6-0c7cd62f27fd\"><li>Supervised Study at all times by all qualified secondary school teachers.<\/li><li>No mobile phones- all students will place their phones in our very own \u2018mobile home unit\u2019 area during all sessions in the pouch number that corresponds with their desk number.<\/li><li>Computer area and canteen area for breaks (including a bean bag chill out area)&nbsp;<\/li><li>An educational based library of resources for students to use on site; students must return the resources when finished using them so they can be shared with others<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-layout-1 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/carlowacademy.ie\/terms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Check Out Our Admission Rules<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Students are encouraged to bring their own food and fruit\/healthy snacks to keep them focused and there is a fresh water fountain on site to fill up water bottles. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">There is also a fridge and a toaster that students can avail of if needs be. <\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are open 10am to 2.15pm every Saturday \u00a0 \u00a0 Please note the following important points:&nbsp; Saturday Supervised Study is open to students of all years (1st year to 6th year).
